AHP Award-Winning Writer Julie Bryant profiles horse shootings across the U.S.
August 18 – Horse shootings across the United States have left owners shocked, scared and angry. Crimes Against Nature returns this month to examine the crime and what horse owners can do when becoming a victim of this horrible deed in “Targeted,” the podcast’s 7thepisode.
Host and award-winning journalist Julie Bryant profiles three cases, including the shocking Arkansas shooting of three horses, leading to an arrest following a frantic 9-1-1 call, along with two additional cases in Texas and Maryland that are still seeking answers. Bryant speaks to Arkansas law enforcement about that arrest, and gains insight on the steps law enforcement take and what owners should do if faced with the crime. Owners of the shooting victims in Texas and Maryland also share the shock of finding their suffering horses and frustration with the challenges of communication with law enforcement, collecting evidence or any clue who the shooter could be.
